First IndiBlogger Meet Sponsored By Asus-2015

The first IndiBlogger meet for 2015 is over. The Asus IndiBlogger meet 2015 – Bangalore edition organized at the phenomenally fabulous ITC Gardenia. What a great event, planned and executed to perfection as usual by the fun guys at IndiBlogger; and boy, did we have fun!
All the stress straining on you from clearing unrealistic targets, dealing with inhumane bosses, euthanasia inducing traffic were crushed from the jamming session at the start of the meet right after the smooth registration. The fist-pumping, head banging rock songs electrified the filled Mysore Hall with rigor.

As is the regulation of doing something whacky to break the ice, we were asked to socially network with others by getting something personal from them. It was a nice and innovative way to beg and recycle (Swach Bharath indeed), not to mention the incentive which obviously was awaiting us at the end kept us going on. Of the myriad things that I got were used bus ticket, movie stubs, Bhutan currency note, expired invitation to some random function and a supermarket shopping receipt. The twitter contest too kept us grooved.

Then came the brief yet informative technical presentation by our sponsors’ of the evening, Asus interspersed with hot starters and cool drinks. As we all know, Asus were one of the frontrunners in the notebook scene. As one of the earliest buyers of the EeePc back in 2007, I can assure that it is the best value for money. The Asus all in one PC ET2014 with its smart hand gesture is the ideal family desktop and Aus EeeBook X205 is a writer’s delight with its sleek design and ergonomically built keyboard and smartly priced product. Though I have some reservations about the processor (Atom) and storage (32GB! Don’t know how the cloud works in remote areas), it was love at first sight.

The coup de grace was advertisement session done in groups to promote blogging. Our team did our best to endorse blogging in the style given to us- Retro Hindi movies. We concluded it with using the best cheesy dialogues Bollywood has to offer, which led us to the dining hall to munch on the tastiest and assorted servings of salad, tandoori, rice and desserts.

I headed home making friends, gaining knowledge and information, miscellaneous collectibles from strangers, stuffed tummy and above all fun filled contentment. Thanks IndiBlogger and Asus.
