Happy Birthday

You know there are some people who have a negative take on anything. Take for instance my favorite comedian Jerry Seinfeld's sarcastic view on birthdays- "Well, birthdays are merely symbolic of how another year's gone by and how little we've grown. No matter how desperate we are that someday a better self will emerge, each flicker of the candles on the cake we know it's not to be. That for the rest of our sad, wretched, pathetic lives, this is who we are to the bitter end. Inevitably, irrevocably. Happy birthday? No such thing." But there is a reason why it is celebrated all over the world. Its a much needed day. A day, the only day for you. You alone and nobody else. Its all about you. A very special day where you started this sacred journey of life to experience and cherish every mysterious moments of it. A chance to enjoy god's absolutely exceptional exhibition of his alarmingly beautiful creation. The day where your presence, your existence is acknowledged . A day where you got life, the greatest gift by your parents. Its a day for you to be thankful for its the day you learnt to breath, the day you learnt to cry. The first day where you were relieved of all the bonds and started to function as an individual entity.

A day for you to rejoice and the feeling you get is truly awesome when your near and dear ones celebrate your life. They are happy for you being a part of their life and appreciate the day that started it all.

I am one such person among countless others.
Happy birthday. Relish it.
